Basically the phone base is unable to connect to the internet after a long power outage. Reset doesn't work, so you will be forced to ship it back to GE; and since they take 4-6 weeks to return you a phone you will be left without a Skype phone for all that period of time. I had this phone installed in 3 homes, and it failed in all three! The system worked well for 6-8 months; so you won't notice the bug right away. Worst thing is that I am being told that GE discontinued this model of phone instead of fixing it; so who knows what will happen to those of us who sent defective units to them. It often will not connect to the base station and eventually will not even respond to hard resets. 4-6 weeks turn around time for an in warranty replacement is not acceptable.
